australian memories

This time last year, we were coming to the end of our Christmas trip to Australia. We flew in to Brisbane and spent some time there and then travelled down to family in Grafton, New South Wales, via the Gold Coast. With trips into the Blue Mountains parks, Yamba, Maclean and we spent Christmas day having a barbeque on Wooli Beach. We also made it into Bryon Bay for a couple of nights and detoured through Nimbin. We took so manY photos which we will have to share with you all soon, hopefully. But until then, with the rain pouring down outside, I thought to share some of our mobile snaps to remember the sunshine and warmth:

brisbane-dec2012

Sunshine, seeing the city from the river, visiting the beach in the middle of Brisbane, discovering a stowaway.

goldcoast

The Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise and late night warm summer walks along the beach, Christmas lights, Paddington posing for postcards, sitting on the beach, sunshine, watching Christmas fireworks on the beach, visiting the Tambourine Mountains, rainforest walks, sunshine.

grafton snapshots

Camping on the farm in Grafton, watching the light flood the farm, sleeping outside in thunderstorms.

the blue mountains, snapshots from the parks

Visiting the Blue Mountains and National Parks, cicadas shouting from the rainforests, finding hidden waterfalls and panoramic views, watching out for Kangaroos and Koalas on the roads.

mobile snapshots from byron bay

Endlessly straight roads, trips to the beach, driving through Maclean, the end of the world in Byron Bay, live music in backpackers bars, warnings about potholes sprayed upon the road into Nimbin..
